Some craft I have been playing with

Have just been dabbling a bit in some patchwork and stitchery lately for something to do in front of the Television at night time so here are some pics of my stitchery ready to be stitched and a small bag I made last weekend.  Also a piccie of my wee granny she is only 7 inches tall to the top of her hat, needs another shoe though so not quite finished.

Doll Club Photos

Here are some photos of my last Doll Club meeting, we put on a show of dolls as the local paper wanted to come in and do a feature on how the centre we rent is used.  Lots of eating, drinking and talking going on here as well as sewing.

I'm Needle Felting Woohooo

I have always wanted to try my hand at needlefelting but every time I have given it a try it has always turned out on a scale of poor to horrendous LOL.  Today I am starting a Tutorial on making a caterpillar and so far so good fingers crossed.   Anyone wanting to learn how to needlefelt  get on over to my friend Sharon's new blog as she has a free tutorial on there showing step by step instructions.  Sharon is a fantastic needlefelter and has made some absolutely fantastic characters.  Blog link is also in my sidebar, "house of pugish" but click on her name above to go directly there.

Quick Post

Hello all, yep am still here just got super busy at work and have been blobbing out a bit on my weekends. The weather is perking up here and with daylight savings about to hit I will have more time at night after work to - play, update blog, play, LOL LOL...........

I do have a heap of photos to upload this weekend, last months Doll Club piccies, with heaps of dolls on show so took a pile of photos to show you all the fantastic dolls the girls make, also have made a small bag last weekend and started a stitchery which I have sewn my first decent bit of patchword around, I really enjoyed doing it and picking the colours.....................so a slew of piccies to come in a couple of days.............

Testing

Just a test to see how the Windows Live Writer adds to the blog.  Am going to try this one to see if it makes it any easier to upload and format, will let you all know if it is as good as it looks being able to type it all up, format it and then upload...........fingers crossed, off to find a picture of something to put in LOL

Ok so far so good got a pic, can set the margins where I want put a wee border around the piccie.........time to upload and see what it looks like...

Lots of bits and pieces

Cripes I have not updated for the past couple of weeks, the weather has been appalling here and have just hunkered down and sat in front of the fire on the weekend. I have been mucking about with a few bits and pieces though but nothing finished as yet.............

I made this little insert for my handbag, its brilliant everything stays exactly where it should




Need to finish this little gal.........she has white hair that is half glued on now and she is tiny as you can see from my coffee mug..............




I signed up to an online class a while ago at Doll Street and have not had a chance yet to do the full class - which is fabulous, but have made something from it, just not quite finished as yet, its a small wall hanging called "the window" heaps of fun. I also painted some lace as well to use, so I have been doing some "stuff" but nothing finished, just dabbling a bit LOL

Doggie Coat

My poor wee doggie is getting a bit old and she now has to go in her kennel when we are not home as loud noises have started to spook her and she has run away from home a couple of times and nearly killed us with worry trying to find her. Sooo this winter is exceptionally nasty I decided she needs a wee coat for when she is in the kennel. I whipped one up this afternoon after making a quick paper pattern, hmmm it is not a fantastic fit so will need to go back to the drawing board but its nearly there just needs to be a bit longer from under the "underleg in the front to the middle of her belly........ lovely and warm though as its fleece......as you can see she doesnt seem to like it all that much but put up with it for me to take some pics LOL LOL

Doll Club Day Out

Yesterday I had Doll Club so thought I would share some more pictures with you all, as usual we had a lot of laughs - I didnt do much apart from talk and laugh and eat.........oh and drink ....hehe

Margaret had made the doll in Pink, shes just gorgeous, and the girls who did the Frumpy Grumpy class are still making them - LOL




I had a skite and tell, I got sent this gorgeous critter from my friend Eefje from The Netherlands and the girls just loved it.....also got to meet another internet friend when I was away this week and I came home with the needle felted skunk, which is just totally awe inspiring.

Shoes Shoes and more Shoes (grin)

This is a post for all those serious shoe lovers hehe...........I received a letter in the mail on Friday from a shoe retailer here in New Zealand, AND I won a competition that was run in one of our magazines.......... The prize was $3000.00 yes you read that right............ worth of shoes to be brought over the next twelve months...... mind boggling, especially as right at this moment they are having buy two get one free (BIG GRIN).......Sooo hubby and myself took ourselves of to the shoe shop today to do a small bit of damage, we got 6 pairs of shoes each - so 12 pairs of shoes and got 4 of them free, well actually we got them all free, but 4 of them didnt come of my amount of credit at the shop.........

Sooo heres my purchases, still will go back in a couple of months and get kitted out for summer..

these two are very comfy with a solid heel great for under my longer jeans

a lighter weight slipper and very soft

the black ones have some serious long pointy toes going on LOL cant see them in this picture but they are seriously long and pointly

Now these were a purchase that I dont know if I will be able to wear, but they were comfy and they looked fantastic on, quite a few women grabbed some when they saw me wearing them in the shop - I couldnt not get them.

And my favorite purchases CROC gumboots....... I love them - seriously expensive for gumboots but they will last me forever and such great colours as well.................
