Ive been drawing and look what Hubby brought me

Woohoo I have been having small play with my pencils, these will be looking out a small window for a wee wall hanging quilt..........AND look what I got this afternoon, my husband came back from town not with the elcheapo little oven I sent him off for but the super deluxe model wohoooo, this is for me to try doing some clay in.......all in all a good day

FINISHED.......WOOOHOOOOO

Finally finished the rooms, phew a marathon effort but its all done, dont you just love the cerise pink blinds I dooo - have made the pics small as there will be lots of them so click on them for the bigger pictures. I hope you enjoy looking around the room as much as I will enjoy being in there. I hope I havent lost my sewing mojo its been soooo long since I have been able to make anything. Also have to do a few more things like finish the false fireplace and paint the coffee table, but that will be enjoyable to do later on as a craft project LOL

Nearly Finished the "studio"

Ok its been slow going recently but have had the nose to the grindstone finishing off the rooms, nearly there, one more coat of paint on the kitchen floor and I will be starting to move stuff in. Was a huge job, much bigger than I anticipated, but all worth it in the end to have a nice light and airy space to work in, and a small area for a couch for relaxing to read mags LOL....

I am going to refresh your memory on the before photos so you can get an idea of how far I have come, (good for me to remember as well YUK LOL)

Here it is....................first pic of floor unpainted - I have some scrummy material which I am going to put on the front of that closed in fireplace. This is where the couch will go, coffee table and of course mat to cover the bits in the middle which are a bit lumpy LOL you will never know.

Doll Club Meeting

Hello everyone, no pictures of the craft room this week as no progress to show, back to the patching etc ready for painting in the second room. BUT I did go to doll club on Saturday so I thought you might all enjoy some pics ...........

Heres two stitcheries I have been doing while waiting to get back to my sewing room - no sewing until the new craft room is done as I have a huge mess in the old room EEEk. These are stitcheries from Cath Walker another awesome friend of mine, cripes I am sooo lucky doncha think.

First coat of paint on walls Yipeeeee

Yipeee got the first coat of paint on the walls in the old kitchen area today, was going to get it done yesterday but ended up having to clean the walls off and put an undercoat over a lot of ugly bits. Here are some pics as you can see the paint is still wet, mammoth effort today to get it done. If you look at the first picture, that is where that old coal range used to be hubby has made it like a false fireplace/chimney and he did a good job of it..... will make a feature out of it and cover it with some yummy material.

Further update on new craft room

Well I have been really busy on this room, although there is not always a lot to show in pictures as a lot is filling holes and cleaning and such LOL........ But today we have got the ceiling painted which means that I can do the walls next weekend WOOOHOOOOOOO although this is only room one but is the fiddly diddly room to do and the actual craft room will be easy peasy to paint after this one...... so heres some update pics of where I am as at this evening. Oh and I forgot to take a picture of the stove part which is now all nicely filled in, looks like a false chimney now.......will take one next weekend once the walls are painted.

Doll Club Meeting Pictures

Hello, LOL........ in amongst doing this craft room I went to my doll club day out and took a few pictures of the girls and their dolls, I thought you might find it interesting.

Update On Craft Room

Well not a huge amount of stuff happening in there at the moment as there have been literally hundreds of nails to pull out and holes to fill up all over the place. My job (if I choose to accept it) later on this weekend is to put more filler in the nail holes at my height and lower on the walls LOL...... Hubby has done the taller bits as hes a wee bit taller than me....... just a smidgeon though. I did manage to get some paint on the cupboards (first coat) and hoping to get the rest of the first coat on by the end of the weekend.

Top of bench with first coat on, the bench will be painted a sandstone colour which is the same as the floor in the sewing room

Another picture of the cupboards - yes its a khaki green girls, I have a lot of this paint here and so I am using it to save $$$$$ will look fine once some accessories are added I am sure

Carpet, again using it as its what we have spare here, and with the floors in the kitchen in the state they are in well no choice, once the couch is there and my coffee table in maroon I am sure it will all work out ok
