First Instalment of Mystery Quilt

Ok Helen put up the first part of the Mystery Quilt, so last night I cut my first pieces, very slowly and carefully hoping not to stuff it all up, was a bit confused but I think I got it done ok……….and have got the first blocks half sewn, fingers crossed I might have time to get them finished this evening maybe…….
First picture is them already to start sewing, AND I chain pieced the last few, phew wasnt sure how to do that but I think I started to get the hang of it in the end LOL
Second picture below is the blocks half done so need to put the other triangle thingies on to finish the first blocks, phew…..

  1. Well done!
Wow... what gorgeous fabric !!! ... and the colour selection ... girl that is just spot on !!!
It is going to be an amazing looking quilt !!!
Remember not to iron your seams 'open' ... but always ... both seams to the one side .... then you will be OKAY ! It will help to have perfectly aligned seams every time...very neat and professional looking !!! LOL
Wow ... girl you can be VERY proud of yourself ... excellent work !!!

  2. looky good there Sharon..you will be so chuffed when you complete this,am actually thinkin of doing this for a baby quilt for my niece who is being induced tomorrow

  5. Hey! Looking good! I like the combination of colors! It is not so hard once you get the hang of it and chain piecing is so much quicker than one at a time! Can't wait for you to finish you first big quilt!!
